No one pays attention to this because of its appearance... Dont judge a book by its cover: this app rules. Some solid AI delivers the best holdem exprience! With career mode planned in version 2.0, it will be even better. A must-buy for any holdem player. Excellent game. I like the customization of the tournaments. Also, the opponents are very good at the expert level. The button could be clearer , but otherwise an excellent tool to hone your game. The iTunes stores is not testing me rate this correctly - I want to give it 5 stars!

Love this app. Lots of fun and very real. Wish the raises werent 5x though. A bit silly when youre deep in the Tourny

With all the differnt program as most know, basically all if them are junk. I would consider this one slightly better cause of the AI but that would be about it. The table layout is nothing but a green screen with some very trashy looking cards. The software doesnt track your stats so its just restarting evrytime you play. Now on the flip side the AI was trickey at times. I obviously put it straight to advance and when it got to heads up he put me to some crazy spots. Its not a great program but I wouldnt consider it complete garbage either.

I finally found a Holdem app that has artificial intelligence to match my play. I cant win tournaments everytime like other apps. If u want a simulation like live play then buy this app.

This is the best "Hold em" game Ive played on any platform. (Not pretending Ive played them all.) The graphics are simple but clean and there is no attempt to give your opponents a "personality"--no photos, witty comments, etc. which Ive found to be tiresome in other games. If you want to play cards (and improve your play) this is your game.

I really love Apples Hold-Em game; but this one is really so much more enjoyable in the long run. It lets you concentrate more on the game and less on the graphics ... probably because there really arent any fancy ones. I like this a lot. Now, dont get me wrong; the original Hold-Em game is very slick; but I think this is the one Ill be using most of the time.

The underlying AI is very good but I really do wish the app wasnt so ugly.

An amazing Texas Hold em game. Worth every penny. The only problem is its addicting, I cant stop playing. Odds seem fair and AI is pretty good

The only thing I would add to this otherwise fantastic app is a hand history option. Other than that it provides enough of a challenge to keep me entertained.

Really slow

I was glad that the app store finally made a good poker game. This app is worth every penny.

This app works perfectly for practicing my strategy for small buy-in fast tournaments. However, its lack of any kind of career mode, escalating difficulty, or rewards for success make it simply a simulation and not a real entertainment experience. That said, it gets 4/5 because the AI is so much better than other holdem games Ive played. Playing my fast, aggressive style I am able to win often but not always. The opponents react much more realistically to aggressive bets. They also go all-in with more frequency as their stack gets down around 10 big blinds or so. They seem to at least occasionally make moves based on position. The game needs a menu screen. I dont like how it starts right away w/o an opportunity to choose my game type, etc. It would also be nice to be able to format games to start with only blinds, but then add antes at higher blind levels. With a little work for version 2.0, this could be an outstanding game.

Best AI and true randomness of deals. Excellent speedy play. Nice to have: - option to show cards after premature end of hand - training option to show odds / strength of hand - ability to mix and match the playing style of AI opponents - make an Omaha version!

Best AI, most options, real poker for real Hold Em players! Thank you for making such a great app. The graphics and sound effects could be improved a bit and career mode would be nice, but for serious poker players this app is worth every penny.

I bought this when it first came out and was mostly impressed by the AI. Now, it makes some stupid moves (folding when pot committed or when the odds are correct to call; calling with a horrible hand when the odds are incorrect; checking with top pair top kicker and a non-threatening board, etc.) but for the most part its good. Its better than my 17 year old brother, for instance. There certainly arent a disproportionate amount of bad beats. The game itself plays nicely given the limited interface. This game is excellent for getting out all that bad play before you hop online or out to the casino. You see a lot of flops and can put all those techniques you have been reading about into action without worrying about losing your shirt. The games looks have improved significantly. The other features have not improved at the same rate. However, the creator of the game was very responsive to my e-mails and plans to incorporate many of my suggestions in future updates (Im sure they were suggested by others). The stats are nice to have, but they are pretty limited (no hand history, etc.). Your money is basically unlimited so there isnt much motivation to always play your best. ***edit - the tourney crashing bug has been fixed! I have resumed playing the game. ***/edit. I want to see a progressive mode where you start with $1000 and have to build up to the top. New changes are nice but I want more. Still havent gotten 5$ of enjoyment.

Maybe its just me, but as I play more, the cards that I get dealt get worse. Maybe the AI module is changing things up, but after a couple weeks of playing, I couldnt win due to the dreadfully bad cards I kept pulling. It got terribly frustrating playing after a while, so I eventually dumped the program. OK while it lasted, but at some point, this app becomes useless.

On advanced setting, the computer players bluff a lot while overbetting. So taking their money is childs play.

Fun and pretty realistic with a wide variety of player styles. Only problem is when I get a call and return to the game, the screen is frozen and I cant do anything. UPDATE Left feedback and developer got right back to me. Problem fixed almost immediately. Game is very realistic. I play a lot of cash games and am recognizing player betting habits based what Im seeing players do in this game. Definitely making me a better live poker player. By far, the best and most realistic poker app on iTunes! Worth the extra $$ I dont even play the other ones I bought.

Kinda annoying that everyone folds except 1 or 2 people is there a way to fix that?
